Position Description

Position Purpose:
This role will be responsible for the transaction management of over-the-counter equity derivatives. The incumbent will ensure proper trade booking of new and pre-existing trades.

Key Accountabilities:
Daily Transaction Management
* Ensure all transactions are booked properly in the trading systems
* Ensure that trades are updated to properly reflect events (expiries, call dates, resets, barriers, etc)
* Ensure that trades are updated to properly reflect corporate actions (dividends, stock splits, mergers, etc)
* Ensure all amendments are properly reflected in the trading systems
* Validate that confirmations and/or offering memorandums are defined consistent with the system booking
* Document multi-leg and/or multi-systems bookings and valuation environments for trade structures and ensure they are accurate and complete for P&L and risk purposes.
* Document all non-traditional’ and / or experimental’ transactions.
* Liaise with Operations in order to resolve breaks and inform them about new/amended trades


Transaction Management Oversight
* Develop booking templates that define all the key transaction attributes in conjunction with traders, risk management and valuations
* Recommend improved workflow between departments to increase efficiencies and controls.
* Monitor the trends in volume and type of trade activity to ensure that risk systems and processes are ft for scale
* Work with IT to automate transaction workflow and create robust trade booking and trade activity monitoring tools.

Job Requirements: (Knowledge/ Experience):
* BA / BS or equivalent with emphasis in finance, economics or other quantitative discipline
* Minimum 1 year experience working with over-the-counter structured products (eg. Product Control, Risk Management, Middle Office, Front Office)
* Working knowledge of equity derivatives and structured equity products (eg. Reverse convertibles, auto-callables, barrier options, etc)
* High attention to detail and control-focused
* Ability to work under pressure, accept responsibility and deliver.
* Excellent command of VBA programming
