In this role, you will provide leadership on assigned projects and act to achieve financial, schedule, and client relationship objectives. You will also plan and organize all engineering functions specific to the project, coordinate client interaction between the project team and client, and provide guidance on recommended manpower and technical resource loading.

The successful candidate must have a strong Design discipline background along with experience running engineering/design projects in the Pharmaceutical, Biotech, or Nutraceutical industries.

Position Responsibilities

  • Prepares project execution plans, schedules, and budgets while participating in all phases of project work from conceptual design to post-construction field checkout.
  • Manages supplier change orders and construction costs.
  • Directs engineering activities and coordinates resources to achieve project goals.
  • Interfaces with clients and relevant staff on assigned projects and promotes positive relationships.
  • Prepares or oversees the preparation of process flow diagrams, process and instrumentation diagrams (P&IDs), and process and utility equipment documents.
  • Reviews the overall layout of processing suites.
  • Assists with defining and designing the health, safety, or environmental requirements of Pharmaceutical and Biological manufacturing systems and facilities.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Architecture, or Planning.
  • Pharmaceutical, Biotech, Nutraceutical, or Life Science industry experience a plus.
  • 8+ years of experience in Project Delivery, 4 of which should be in a Project Management role.
  • Experience managing a range of engineering design projects, specifically with A&E companies.
  • Proven ability, capacity, and aptitude with planning, organizing, supervising, coordinating technical work, and obtaining cooperation from others (must be able to build rapport with project staff).
  • High level of scheduling skills.
  • Skilled in the use of IT tools, including spreadsheets, word processing, planning, and scheduling software.
