Join us. At QIAGEN, you make a difference every day.Position DescriptionThe Human Resources Intern will partner with members of the Americas HR Team on day-to-day tasks and special projects. This is a great opportunity for a current HR student who is interested in gaining exposure to multiple areas of the HR field. This can be a full-time internship during the school year.This position is based in Germantown, MD. Work with HR Partners on daily tasks and special projects, including compliance audits, company policy updates, immigration-related processes, reward and recognition programs, employee onboarding and exit activities, HR databases, HR material and SOP updates, etc.Assist in preparing HR-related documentation, distribution of materials to HR Team members as well as employees, and tracking and recording of data.Work with other team members as needed to contribute to various HR initiatives as well as implementation and administration of creative solutions for continued improvement.Position RequirementsCurrent undergraduate / graduate student pursuing a degree with a focus in Human Resources or related field.Personal RequirementsAbility to maintain a high level of integrity and discretion in the handling of confidential information.Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.Good written and verbal communication skills.Ability to interact effectively and professionally with others, especially employees and potential candidates.Effective team player with a willingness to pitch-in and contribute where needed.Computer proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.Ability to work independently as well as take direction when needed.Good judgment and decision-making skills.
