IT Business Platforms and Delivery Services (Service Delivery)
- The IT Business Platforms and Delivery Services team at UScellular is seeking a summer intern for their Chicago location. This team is responsible for ensuring execution and alignment with our IoT, B2B, Reseller and 3rd Party platforms as well as leading ongoing launch operations and migrations for high impact platform changes. This is an outstanding opportunity to learn and gain experience as part of the IT team that that is responsible for end-to-end ownership of several critical business applications. The intern will have the opportunity to work on providing technical and functional guidance in multiple UScellular and third-party applications and platforms. There will also be opportunities to identify, troubleshoot and drive resolution of application issues and defects following established processes using many different tools, such as SQL, Excel, API Integration, IoT Support Processes and moves. Involvement in assessing potential operational outcomes for new products and features will be a key part of this assignment.

Requirements
- Working toward a Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Computer Science, Information Management or Business Administration or related technical field
- Experience with standard MS Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.)
- Strong analytical skills coupled with excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal skills required
- Basic understanding of SDLC (Systems Development Life Cycle) is helpful
- Knowledge of technology structures: networks, databases, communications systems and internet
- Ability to participate and work well in cross-functional teams
- Excellent presentation and communication skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous internship(s) in business operations, analytics, network support, API Integration, or relevant training / experience highly preferred.
- Interest or knowledge of wireless telecommunications and billing systems.
- Experience with, understanding or knowledge of Internet of Things (IoT).
- Experience with, familiarity with, or understanding of SQL database for reporting purposes.
- Experience with, familiarity with, or understanding of Remedy Service Management Software.
Location Requirements
- This internship will be offered only in our Chicago, IL location.
- No housing or living expenses provided with this internship.
