Position Description: The Heart Failure Cardiologist will be responsible for assisting with program development and growth, quality initiatives, as well as the training and education of our Multidisciplinary Heart Failure Team. The physician will work support both the inpatient heart failure population and the outpatient Center for Comprehensive Heart Failure Care. The physician will work in close partnership with physician and administrative leadership to establish Valley as a Destination VAD Center and will participate as a member of our Shock Team. The candidate must possess strong clinical skills and have experience with mechanical circulatory support devices, as well as a track record of clinical research, commitment to teaching, and strong desire to build a program.
Position requirement:
M.D or D.O from an accredited school of medicine or osteopathy
Board Certification/Board Eligibility Cardiovascular Diseases
Advanced training in heart failure and experience with mechanical circulatory support required.
A valid New Jersey State Medical license, DEA, and CDS required
BLS and ACLS required
Maintains CME credit hours as required for Board Certification and/or hospital staff privileges. Forwards same (e.g., upon renewal) to Director of Medical Staff Administration
