The selected candidate must be based within this vicinity and will have the flexibility to work from their home office when not traveling. Candidate will be required to travel to the project, about 80% of the time. Per diem and mileage based on travel requirements.
What you will be doing:
As a Right of Way Agent, you will be taking the lead on securing easements for a renewable natural gas pipeline project throughout eastern North Carolina. This project will generate clean reliable and renewable energy source that is fully compatible with our current infrastructure serving a productive role in the clean energy transition. Renewable Natural Gas is one essential piece of the puzzle. It is crucial to maintain a diverse portfolio of solutions that work together to combat climate change. Renewable Natural Gas is a complement to other renewable energy sources because it is storable, dispatchable and can be combined with other fuel, heat, and power generation resources providing reliable energy in a more sustainable and circular economy. You will send out introduction letters to the property owners informing them about the project and request them to contact you. Set face to face meetings to explain project, share easement information. Obtain a signed option/final agreement, cut option payment check via established escrow. Responsible for running 30-year title and recording easement at County Recorder’s office.

Minimum Qualifications:
- Minimum of two (2) years of Right of Way acquisition experience
- Active North Carolina Real Estate license
- License must be hung with ORC*
- Active North Carolina Notary
- Must be proficient with MS Office Suite, specifically Excel, Word, Outlook, and Dropbox
- Must have an iOS or Android smartphone to be able to access ORC's systems
- Valid Driver’s License
Bonus points if you have direct experience working on pipeline projects, oil and gas leasing, and/or sales experience.

Able to read, understand and interpret department related documents and data. The employee is required to move about inside the office to access files, office equipment and to interact with other members of the staff. This role requires the employee to occasionally travel to meet with clients or vendors which involves time driving; sometimes for long durations. While meeting with clients and vendors, will need to be outdoors traversing different types of landscapes. May be exposed to the elements (heat, rain, snow, cold).
