Posting Summary
This person is essential to operations, we have live animals that are related to the job duties/requirements outlined below that need continued care and attention for our research program to continue to advance. This person's responsibilities will be to work with these animals to meet programmatic objectives of a current grant. The role involves independent and collaborative development of scientific research programs in the lab. To this end, responsibilities include planning experiments, managing animal husbandry and care for experimental animals, and performing laboratory tasks involving the development and application of scientific research methods and techniques (e.g., histology, behavioral experimentation, surgical procedures, machine learning, imaging, and analysis). The role also includes writing code for experiments and analysis pipelines and performing statistical analysis for reporting in grants and papers. Other duties include the maintenance of the laboratory facilities, equipment, and instruments, and training/managing of direct reports.

Qualifications

Minimum Education and Experience
PhD necessary, field of neuroscience and spinal cord injury. Ability to work with deep lab cut. Grant writing skills.
