Posting Summary | Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey, is seeking a Postdoctoral Associate in Mobile Health, focusing on interventions for substance use. The Postdoctoral Associate will collaborate with investigators at the Institute for Health, Healthcare Policy, and Aging Research; and Department of Psychiatry, to conduct research that aims to reduce substance use and to address other health behaviors (e.g., depression, weight management) using mobile health technologies (e.g., smartphone sensors and surveys, wearable device). The Postdoctoral Associate will be involved in examining how continuously collected data from mobile phones (sensors, survey), wearable device (Fitbit), and brief cognitive tasks (app) can be used to Postdoctoral Associates are expected to develop an innovative, collaborative research program that will advance and apply mobile health technology to reduce substance use and address other health-related conditions (e.g., depression, exercise) at the population level. The Postdoctoral Associate will participate in manuscript writing, preparation and submission of National Institutes of Health and other grant applications, and completion of Institutional Review Board applications. The Postdoctoral Associate will have the opportunity to be involved in on-going research activities (e.g., recruitment, enrollment and consent, data management and analysis), including dissemination activities (e.g., first-author papers). Minimum Education and Experience | PhD or MD within the past 5 years in computer science, computer engineering, biostatistics, informatics, behavioral science, or related field. Strong writing abilities and data management skills, and prior experience with intensive longitudinal data analyses, including machine learning. |
