At Crum & Forster, cloud computing continues to allow us to modernize and consolidate IT infrastructure, automate workloads, and pursue next-generation innovation. To continue this transformation, we're seeking an experienced Azure cloud solutions architect with expertise in the strategy, design, development, and implementation of large-scale projects in the cloud. The ideal candidate is experienced in cloud-based tech, with a firm grasp of emerging technologies, platforms, and applications, and ability to customize them to help our business become more secure and efficient. Extensive knowledge of cloud services, experience managing staff, and advanced industry knowledge is key to keeping us on the cutting edge.

What you will do:

Develop and design roadmaps for investing in IT cloud infrastructure, including analysis of cost reduction opportunities
• Keep up to date with emerging cloud technologies and trends, and provide recommendations for improvements and enhancements to existing systems
• Propose suggestions and best practices to optimize cloud presence, performance, security and cost
• Work with Cybersecurity and Compliance to remediate technical security issues related to cybersecurity audits, scans and compliance efforts
• Design, deploy, and maintain cloud-based systems on public and private cloud platforms, such as Azure, AWS and GLP
• Monitor and maintain cloud-based systems to ensure optimal performance, security, and scalability
• Troubleshoot and resolve cloud infrastructure issues, including network connectivity, server and storage performance, and application availability
• Closely work with DevOps to deploy resources for Open AI, Azure Machine Learning, Data Factory, Power Automate
• Develop and implement cloud automation strategies using tools such as Terraform, ARM templates
• Provide guidance with re-engineering applications for cloud environment
• Develop and maintain technical documentation and drawings for cloud infrastructure and procedures
• Develop and establish disaster recovery procedures and other recovery processes in accordance with the company's disaster recovery and business continuity plan

What you will bring to C&F:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
• 5+ years of working expeirence in related information technology
• 3+ years of hands on experience in cloud engineering and architecting
• Proven experience in design and engineering of cloud platforms like Azure, AWS and Google Cloud Platform
• Strong understanding of cloud computing concepts and technologies, including IaaS, PaaS and SaaS
• A thorough understanding and extensive working experience with Azure resources, including Azure AD, roles, licensing, B2B, enterprise apps and app registrations, SSO, MFA, SSPR, conditional access, VM management, bastions, recovery services vault, SQL/postgress services, key vaults, storage accounts, vNets, NSG, Azure DNS, routing, peering, private endpoints, load balancers, Azure firewall, gateways, app insights, log analytics, metrics and alerts, policies, monitor
• Knowledge of Intune (MDM), Sharepoint, Teams, OneDrive
• In depth knowledge of Active Directory, DNS, Kerberos, schema management, extensions
• Proficient with Microsoft PowerShell for advanced Windows administration
• Design and implementation of multi-tier PKI architecture, certificate management
• Be well versed in enterprise infrastructure concepts - VMWare, SAN, networking, routing, load balancers, reverse proxy and security devices
• Hands-on experience in system administration within infrastructure teams
• Excellent written and oral communication with multiple levels of leadership involving both business and technical teams
