About the role:

In an Item processing environment, perform the following duties: data preparation/receiving, check processing, data entry, online reject repair, transactions balancing, reconciliation, File imports and exports, file reconciliations. Federal reserve transmissions, core file transmissions, saving documents using OneNote, familiar with Excel spreadsheets. May also perform tasks such as online keying of transit checks and POD documents per client requirements.

About the team:

Our FIS Data Control team does branch captures and third-party file processing for over 30 banks for which we reconcile, balance and transmit, transit items, core files, posting files and reports for these banks. We have a very dynamic work environment as our balancing and reconciliation are done in real time. We have a conducive work environment with a dynamic, dedicated and supportive staff.

What you will be doing:

Identifies errors in calculations and balances and make corrections.

Data entry and online reject repair.

Transaction balancing and reconciliation.

Process File imports and exports.

Prepare transit cash letters for Federal Reserve transmissions.

Core file transmissions.

Online keying of transit checks and POD documents.

Performs minimal numeric/alpha data entry.

Reconciles and properly document all out of proof conditions.

Compares work product with word standards for accuracy.

Other related duties assigned as needed.

What you will need:

Proficient written and oral communication skills in dealing with employees or external customers/clients

Knowledge of procedures used to segregate and distribute output

Knowledge of balancing and correction procedures

Proficient in entering data into various PC software packages

Proficient in classifying computer output

Knowledge to operate a computer effectively and utilize software packages required by the position

Proficiency to encode 1,000-1,500 items per hour

Added bonus if you have:

  • Banking (preferably teller or operations experience)
  • Billing Experience
  • Accounting Experience

The ability to work Monday Through Friday from 1:30 pm to 10:00 pm (No Remote)
