Job Description

Dewberry is currently seeking a Northeast Regional ITS Market Leader to expand our practice for our Northeast Division. This position is ideally located in our Bloomfield, NJ divisional headquarters.

The Regional ITS Market Leader will be responsible for developing business strategy, maintaining existing client relationships, developing new clients and business, and working directly with the existing managers in all of our Northeast Division offices to grow our services. The candidate will also work closely with our client/project managers in setting goals and strategies. This candidate will have the opportunity to lead ITS related work on various high profile projects and pursuits for clients including NJDOT, NYSDOT, PANYNJ, NJTA, and NJTransit. Responsibilities
    Managing the design and implementation of intelligent transportation systems and systems engineering projects for transportation projects. These may involve roadway management systems, video surveillance systems, vehicle detection systems, motorist information systems, control center design and integration, SCADA systems, and communications systems
  • ITS business development support
  • Serve as task lead and/or project manager for traffic/ITS engineering and design projects
  • Support design-build projects as needed
  • Provide quality assurance and quality control oversight
  • Provide oversight and mentor staff
Required Skills & Required Experience
  • P.E. in NY/NJ required
  • 20+ plus years in ITS engineering, traffic systems engineering and systems integration
  • Communications engineering experience a strong plus
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil or Electrical Engineering required - Master's degree preferred
  • Excellent technical and written and verbal communication skills
  • Proven ability to design and manage ITS projects
  • Ability to effectively develop new business. Relationships with state and local agencies including NJDOT, NYSDOT, Port Authority of NY/NJ, NYCDOT, NJTA etc. is preferred
  • Knowledge/experience with CAV and/or CAV corridor planning is a plus
  • Experience in traffic engineering and microsimulation modeling is a plus
  • Lighting analysis/design experience in Visual/AGI a plus
  • A clean driving record is required
