As one of the nation's largest single-source providers of lighting and electrical products, electrical services, electrical construction, and energy management solutions Facility Solutions Group is expanding their staff and seeking a Service Technician for the FSG Electric- New Jerseyteam.

JOB DESCRIPTION

As aService Technician,you will troubleshoot, repair, and install: general circuitry, electrical devices, lighting control systems, and electrical equipment. The ideal candidate will have experience in commercial lighting and electrical maintenance, as well as promote the core values of FSG through excellent customer service and assuring the safety of all work.

AService Technicianwill:

• Be able to interpret electrical sketches and work order descriptions, to accurately identify and repair issues that are in the scope of work.
• Perform lighting maintenance tasks. i.e. troubleshooting lighting controls, relays, and sensors.
• Troubleshoots, with the ability to install and/or repair- control and distribution apparatus. i.e. switches, relays, circuit-breaker panels, switch gear, and service equipment.
• Prepare site sketches effectively- showing locations of wiring, lighting, and equipment.
• Make general repairs to faulty electrical equipment or systems.
• Ensure installation of electrical wiring, equipment, or fixtures are consistent with electrical, fire, safety, and local building codes.
• Work from ladders, scaffolds, or roofs to install, maintain, or repair electrical wiring, equipment, or fixtures.
• Work from aerial work platforms such as bucket trucks or articulating lifts.
• Advise customer on whether continued operation of equipment could be hazardous.
• Meets attendance standards and complies with late/absence notification procedures.

The ideal candidate will satisfy the following requirements and qualifications:

• High School Diploma or General Education Degree
• Must be willing to travel
• Must have 3-5 years experience in Commercial Electrical Construction
• Must possess a valid driver's license
• Must be able to pass drug and background check
• Ability to multitask while staying organized
• Strong verbal and written communications skills
• Positive customer service skills
