Posting Summary | Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey is seeking a Laboratory Technician in Radiation Cancer Biology at Rutgers Cancer Institute of New Jersey. The Laboratory Technician will be responsible for conducting and executing research experiments following the instructions given by the laboratory team. Rutgers Cancer Institute leverages numerous experimental approaches. Including single-cell genomics by next-generation sequencing, in situ single-cell analyses of DNA and RNA by Fluorescent in situ Hybridization (FISH), and CRISPR gene editing to induce genomic instability and study its consequences on tumor transformation and therapy response. This will include supporting the research of Principal Investigators and senior members of the laboratory. The Laboratory Technician will assist in designing and executing experiments, preparing submission and publication materials, and learning appropriate scientific methods and procedures. Work Environment: Laboratory work environment, with moderate noise. Exposure to biological specimens (cells, blood, tissues, etc.) with possible exposure to infectious diseases and hazardous chemicals, including therapeutic drugs. The laboratory environment operates under mandatory universal safety precautions. |
