POSITION
Sharepoint Administrator


LOCATION
Hybrid - Woodcliff Lake, NJ

The SharePoint Administrator is responsible for building out, maintaining, and supporting our MS365 SharePoint environment. The administrator must be a solutions-based thinker who will collaborate with the Intranet team and Groups' stake holders to identify and understand overall company vision and departmental needs. The Administrator will manage the development and implementation of MS365/SharePoint-based solutions and help identify opportunities for business process automation/ collaboration. They will provide solutions that drive intranet adoption, streamline processes, and facilitate communications as we continue to build out the site to streamline our business needs.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Work with the Intranet team and group stakeholders to envision, build out, and maintain our SharePoint Intranet site.
  • Collaborate to configure managed platforms and related services (Power Platform, SharePoint Online, Teams, OneDrive, Zoom).
  • Design and develop innovative solutions using out-of-the-box features of Microsoft Power Apps, SharePoint Online, Teams and Forms.
  • Develop department sites in a systematic way off our current foundation, including the housing of site-specific libraries and content.
  • Help develop, manage, and maintain SharePoint sites, custom libraries, lists, workflows, and web parts for each Group.
  • Collaborate with Intranet team members to understand project requirements and translate them into technical solutions using SharePoint and other Microsoft O365 tools.
  • Provide day-to-day administration, support and monitoring of managed systems and related services.
  • Manage security, permissions and access to managed platforms and related services.
  • Collaborate with IT colleagues to trouble-shoot and resolve issues, as required.
  • Collaborate with team management and make key recommendations to the future direction of all supported platforms and services, and especially Microsoft 365.
  • Evaluate current and emerging SharePoint technologies, 3rd party add-ins, and practices; recommend solutions and best practices to management.

    Training + User Management

    • Provide guidance, support and training to site owners as needed on items related to content management, permissions, site ownership, document management, forms, and workflows.
    • Hold training and informational sessions to teach employees how to use SharePoint.
    • Develop instructions/documentation on new features/functions and communicate to user community on such features/functions.
    • Establish best practices related to managed systems and share them with internal team members and campus partners.

    QUALIFICATIONS

    • Knowledge of Microsoft Technologies such as Microsoft/Office 365, SharePoint, and the Power tools such as Power Apps, Power Automate (Flow creation) and Power BI.
    • Direct work experience developing in Office 365/SharePoint, .NET/Azure, PowerShell, SQL, and SharePoint Framework SPFx.
    • Direct work experience developing in server-side development languages (C#) and client side (HTML, CSS, JavaScript, JSON, ASP.NET, jQuery).
    • Knowledge of REST and supporting JavaScript Frameworks.
    • Understanding of server architecture and networking principles.
    • Solution-driven mindset with a vision for UX and design.
    • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
    • At least 2 years in developing rich web applications with Asp.Net and client-side frameworks.
    • Demonstrated support throughout the life cycle of our products and developed/managed solutions, through high quality technical and professional client/stakeholder relationships ensuring customer satisfaction.
    • Experienced with data migration and document management from on-prem systems into the cloud.
    • Minimum 3 to 5 years of SharePoint development experience.
    • Strong communication and collaboration abilities.
