You will become part of a global team of supply chain experts, who are driving the logistics growth agenda with Maersk's top 200 customers. You will be a core member of Account Management teams for a selected list of top customers. As the Supply Chain Development Manager, you will work with companies that are defining the supply chain landscape of tomorrow.

Acting as the Trusted Advisor for your customers and your Global Key Account Managers, often you will find yourself in a room with senior leaders of both Maersk and customers' organization, helping to shape strategic alignment and creating roadmaps for long term partnership. You will play the role of an accelerator of Maersk's integrator strategy for our top 200 customers. The SCD organization is formed as a global-regional function in Maersk. As a team reporting into HQ, the team accesses senior functional leaders for collaboration. Who are we looking for:

You! A seasoned supply chain expert with solid experience in design and delivery of global supply chains.

You will play an integral, leading role in developing business globally with our key customers by expanding partnership scope, leveraging network, and bringing in various functional experts at the right time in customer engagement. Internally, the Key Account manager and account team are your key stakeholders. Since you will be managing a portfolio of large customers, you will deploy acute portfolio management techniques to ensure maximum return on investment.

You will use your expertise on supply chain management frameworks and theories to support commercial pursuits and convert in wins. You will analyze market information and use the information/insights to leverage a competitive advantage for Maersk. You will lead discovery workshops and create a strong focus in meetings by making use of powerful Questioning and Facilitating techniques.

With the account team, you will build a culture of trust and support account strategy with unique perspectives. You are not afraid to challenge status quo and can put your arguments across objectively, for the greater sum. You will also advise senior executive sponsors of our key customers on where the value levers for customers' supply chain are. You will bring your own thought leadership through value propositions, papers, and frameworks to support commercial growth with customers.

You will engage with these customers across multiple functions and layers to explore new growth dimensions. As their SCD consultant, you will organize brainstorming discovery workshops, using supply chain frameworks and methodologies to connect with their business needs with supply chain improvements. A team of data analysts who are adept at creating simulations and optimization models will support you based on your guidance and requirement.

Key responsibilities

Focus and grow: Grow Supply Chain solution sales for specific Maersk customer segments:
* Lead the Supply Chain Development efforts in building a partnership engagement with the assigned strategic customers through joint strategy development, workshops to understand the customer ambitions and needs, as well as the development of tailored value propositions for selling Maersk solutions.
Engage: Internal and external stakeholders to enable wins in key commercial opportunities
* Engage effectively with internal stakeholders in respective region (global account managers, sales leaders, product managers) for SCD to be effective in identifying and winning opportunities i.e. through close collaboration with area leadership teams and contributing to the area strategies
* Enable SCD to be a differentiator for Maersk through high-value engagements
Enable: Development of team capabilities, toolkits and culture to setup a scalable model for the future
* Lead the development of repeatable frameworks for supply chain consultative selling and supporting analyses
* Lead specific initiatives and contribute to a global team culture of Thought Leadership, Collaboration & Best practice sharing
* Support SCD leadership team in leading strategic projects concerning SCD team development
* Serve as sparring partner for Supply Chain Development Regional Managers
* Owner of Supply Chain Development aspects for assigned customer portfolio
* Owner of specific capability development workstreams as assigned by Supply Chain Development Leadership team

We are looking for

* 10+ years' experience in supply chain management and logistics preferably within a 3PL, logistics consulting firm and/or global corporation
General experience:
* Extensive experience in stakeholder management, consultative sales and customer portfolio management combined with supply chain and logistics expertise
Specific skills
* Consultative sales experience in logistics demonstrating customer-centric mindset in direct customer engagements
* Excellent understanding of logistics solutions and operations covering all modes of international transportation, warehousing and distribution, e-commerce, 4PL solutions
* Experience with portfolio management and strategy
* Subject matter expertise in supply chains of either one or more major industry verticals like retail, lifestyle / fashion, technology, FMCG, Chemicals or Automotive is highly desirable
* Competent in creating written business case recommendations, encompassing financial, service, risk, and sustainability factors
* Innovative and creative thinker, with strong problem-solving skills and comfort with managing uncertainties
* Expertise in supply chain modelling and analysis, with good knowledge of supply chain optimization methodologies and tools
* Proficient in stakeholder management with proven capability to build strong networks and influence decision makers in a matrix organization structure
* Ability to manage cross-functional and remote project teams with well-developed capabilities in project management
* Resilient to change and comfortable with fast shifting priorities, workload and responsibilities
* Self-starter, self-motivator, comfortable with high level of autonomy, while also a team player
* Excellent communication skills both written and oral. Competent and confident public speaker
* Bachelor's Degree in business, supply chain, or a similar discipline is required
* Master's Degree in Supply Chain Management & Logistics or MBA is highly desirable
* Fluency in spoken and written English, and local language required. Multilingual is highly desirable.
