Short Description

Responsible for the monitoring of registration functions (such as registration, insurance verification, patient safety and compliance, revenue collections, resource referrals, and customer service) in a fast paced, high volume Emergency Department that provides 24/7 service.

Handles the processing of daily cash deposits, analyzes denials, converts liability self pay accounts to commercial insurance, and supports with discharge coordination. Assists with downtime maintenance and new hire training, Resolve issues within the department in the absence of the supervisor.


Experience Required

Two (2) years registration experience in a Level 1 Trauma facility, Hospital Emergency Department or high volume outpatient medical office.

Knowledge of medical insurance products and benefits, state and federal medical assistance programs, authorization and referral requirements, and collection of copays. Medical terminology knowledge also preferred.

Proficiency in Flowcast scheduling, registration and visit management, and EPIC ED application


Education Requirements

High School Diploma or Equivalent required
