LG's 2024 Summer Internship Program will be a 9 week internship from June 3rd through August 2nd, 2024.

The internship will be based in office at the LG North America Innovation Campus in Englewood Cliffs, NJ and pay an hourly rate of $23.50.

The LG Internship Program is built on the philosophy of ensuring that each intern is given the opportunity to perform robust and meaningful work while gaining real-world experience.

The program will also include each intern working on an individual strategic project for the department and delivering a presentation at the program's end.

Responsibilities

  • Gather and Analyze credit and/or other data to determine impact on business operations, as appropriate
  • Participate in recommendations for credit limits based on availability of credit insurance, LG payment history, trade reference, third party sources and other credit tools, as applicable
  • Evaluate and implement internal and external credit scoring models using both traditional and other predictive technologies
  • Participate in and contribute to projects to develop recommendations for credit policy, credit/data support systems and provide revenue, cost delinquency and loss forecasts
  • Learn and understand the roles and responsibilities of Credit Team, support daily operations as a team member, participate in team meeting and prepare internal reports to management
  • Learn about Trade credit Insurance, Hedging payment risk of counterparty, and Managing credit portfolio of customers
  • Work with systems and tools such as GERP and BPMS

Qualifications

  • Enrollment in a Bachelor's degree program at an accredited College/University
  • Rising Junior or Senior in Bachelor's degree program
  • Finance/Business/Economics related major is preferred
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Teams)
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Analytical and well organized
