The Sup, Distribution Services is the direct Supervisor of the Central Distribution team members. Responsible for team members that inventory supplies, verify and sign for incoming deliveries, and stock par locations. Analyzes/adjusts par levels, coordinates work schedule of others. Plans, organizes, schedules, and oversees the functions of receiving, the warehouse, and supply distribution and replenishment to the par locations. Materials Management liaison to customers within scope of service. Responsible for a high level of internal customer service to ensure that supplies are delivered to end users in a timely manner.

Responsibilities

  • Assists with identification and acquisition of new and unique medical supplies: Provides assistance to Clinical Coordinators in understanding surgeons' needs for new and/or unique cases. Assists OR staff with coordinating repairs and obtaining emergency replacement equipment. Assists Clinical Coordinators with obtaining repairs and parts for repairs. Obtains clinical and financial information for review by Site Materials Manager
  • Improves and maintains general inventory management processes: Works with all customers/Department Managers to properly classify and identify inventory and reorder responsibilities, ensuring adequate availability for current and projected caseload.
  • Monitors and controls date sensitive inventories to minimize or eliminate losses related to stale dating of product: Establishes and enforces policies related to review of date sensitive inventory. Works with appropriate parties to ensure proper rotation of inventory and obtain optimal exchanges where appropriate.
  • Distribution and Receiving: Supervise the function of all Supply Distribution, Receiving and Shipping.
  • Other duties and/or projects as assigned.
  • Adheres to HMH Organizational competencies and standards of behavior.

Qualifications

  • Associate's Degree
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience working in a complex supply chain environment.
  • Demonstrates analytical and problem solving skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficient computer skills that include but are not limited to Microsoft Office and/or Google Suite platforms.
