How will you CONTRIBUTE and GROW?

This role provides support in developing, implementing, improving and managing Product Stewardship, within Health, Safety, Environment & Security (HSES), policies, procedures, practices, and projects. It nourishes a culture in which safety is the highest priority across Air Liquide Advanced Materials facilities in the US and Asia. This role is expected to interact effectively with a wide variety of teams including operations, research, process development and engineering to implement change effectively and sustain the gains.
  • Job Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

    • Creates and maintains regulatory information, statements and documentation in compliance with international and country specific legislation (e.g. product dossiers, registration certificates, Dangerous Goods classifications, worker safety or environmental risk assessments and product regulatory quality documentation);

    • Review relevant regulatory and/or Product safety legislation related to product compliance and provide input on implementation and status (e.g. chemical control, chemical hazards or dangerous goods classifications);

    • Participate in the stage gates of product development for advising and data collection in order to perform the needed registrations.

    • Organize and prepare product safety information/data for product submissions to local authorities directly or via consultants;

    • Coordinate product sampling with operations in order to sent them for testing when additional data is required for the registrations, and gather the related data;

    • Ensure TSCA registration (limited to the US) is completed and submitted in a timely manner and the registration is in compliance with all government requirements..

    • Author product statements and documentation in compliance with international and country specific legislation (e.g. product dossiers, registration certificates) with the support of the SDS authoring specialist for label data, GHS classifications, Dangerous Goods classifications, worker safety or environmental risk assessments and with the support of the Regulatory affairs team for site specifics and environmental regulation;

    • Maintain data on products and current requirements either by the Company or government. Provide data on demand to other Air Liquide affiliates to support global registration of products.

    • Proactively support and advise various stakeholders and departments etc.) of regulatory requirements including quality and/or product safety ;

    • Ability to reject product or raw material use if not compliant with Company Requirements and/or external legislation;

    • Work collaboratively with various organizations including but not limited to R&D, Marketing, Product Management, Manufacturing, Logistics, Procurement

    • Maintain and improve HSES and Product Stewardship performance, compliance, policy and procedural information including electronic backup of critical information;

    • Implement industry best practice for an effective product stewardship program while maintaining compliance with applicable regulatory requirements, reporting, HSES statistics and trend analysis

    • Receive and respond to the product stewardship workflow for customer questionnaires and surveys, Act as a back-up for SDS and ERI creation and maintenance.

  • Required Qualifications:

    • Bachelor's Degree in Chemistry, Occupational Safety and Health, Safety Management, Regulatory Science;

    • 3+ years of experience in product management or product stewardship;

    • Ability to effectively communicate with wide variety of stakeholders;

    • Demonstrated computer skills and proficiency;

    • Experience in Safety Data Sheet authoring OR regulatory affairs;

    • Able to learn technical chemical processes quickly;

    • Familiarity with reading chemical testing reports or analytical chemistry reports.

  • Preferred Qualifications:

    • Training and certifications in OSHA, DOT, and RCRA;

    • 3+ years of experience in the product management or product regulation within the semiconductor industry;

    • Passion for HSES and product stewardship as demonstrated by a strong commitment;

    • Methodical data based problem solving and decision making skills;

    • Strong organizational and planning skills with the ability to multitask;

    • Self-starter with the ability to perform well under pressure and changing priorities;

    • Ability to communicate concisely and effectively in written and verbal formats with stakeholders at multiple levels in the business.
