As part of the North American Science & Technology team, the Sensory Research Intern will assist in sensory and/or technical research operations in order to support development of new products and solutions within our fragrance business, according to business objectives and corporate strategy. They will support the design, planning, set-up, execution, analysis, and reporting for various types of sensory tests including discrimination, fragrance intensity, and malodour counteractant protocols.

In this position you will:

• Assist with fragrance sensory and/or laboratory experiments on a daily basis, document results & review with manager

• Safely operate, maintain and organise lab equipment

• Maintain a safe, clean and orderly laboratory environment in accordance with EHS guidelines

Your professional profile includes:

• Currently enrolled in a BS program; Biological, Chemical, Physical or Behavioral Sciences, Sensory, Statistics, or related field preferred

• 1-2 years lab experience in a college setting

• Scientific/analytical skills

• Experience with lab equipment and its' safe use to perform research experiments

• Proficient with research documentation protocols

• Good knowledge of EHS guidelines as they pertain to lab maintenance and operation

• Able to learn quickly and has a proactive mindset

• Strong presentation and communication skills

• Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint

• Must be willing to work with a variety of fragrance materials, including malodour compounds.

Availability

• Preferred availability 3-5 consecutive days per business week (M-F), 4+ hours per day
