Tax Manager - Blue Bell, PA

Marcum LLP is seeking a Tax Manager to join our growing and well-established national firm in our Blue Bell, PA and Tinton Falls, NJ office. This position requires a high energy, experienced professional with strong interpersonal and supervisory skills.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and review both compliance and advisory work for a broad client base including high net worth individuals, trusts, partnerships, and corporations, both inbound and outbound clients, in a broad range of industries.
  • Research and write at an advanced level.
  • Experience working with inbound and outbound acquisitions, dispositions, and reorganizations at an advanced level.
  • Provide technical advice and comprehensive solutions to clients based on research and analysis.
  • Assist companies to understand and assess the tax impact of company business, operations, and transactions in multiple jurisdictions.
  • Comprehensive understanding of tax reporting and obligations.
  • Monitor assigned tasks and complete on a timely basis and review workflow.
  • Oversee Staff and Senior(s) and coordinate the day-to-day duties.
  • Communicates with Partner on work status and client issues.
  • Supervises, trains and mentors tax staff.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree with a preferred field of study in accounting
  • 5+ years of relevant work and industry experience
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong technical and broad-based advisory and client management skills
  • Ability to work independently, but also work well with others
  • Formal mentoring relationships with all levels of staff

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Taxation or Accounting
  • Licensed CPA or admission to a State Bar
  • Advanced technical preparation and intermediate review skills in one of the industries our firm services: i.e., Construction, Real Estate, High Net Worth, Manufacturing & Distribution, etc.
  • Software Experience - CCH Axcess, Microsoft Office 365, GFR, Engagement
