Roles & Responsibility: Design and Implementation:
  • Responsible for designing and implementing data network technologies, including Cloud Networking (AWS), wide area networks (WANs), local area networks (LANs), switching devices, and VoIP systems.
  • Proficient in Cisco IOS, SSL/VPN, Palo Alto Firewalls, and Aruba Clearpass Radius/NAC 802.1x authentication.
  • Support all hardware and software technologies used in our global network.

Global LAN and WAN Management:
  • Remotely manage LAN and WAN environments across our global network.
WiFi Design and Support:
  • Collaborate on WiFi design and provide support for all our global offices.
  • Familiarity with Meraki Networks, including SDWAN, switches, and WiFi configuration.

Remote Connectivity and Local Area Networks:
  • Ensure seamless remote connectivity for company stores and remote offices.
  • Knowledge of advanced routing protocols such as OSPF and BGP.

Cyber Security:
  • Possess cyber security skills, including tools, analysis, incident response, monitoring, and reporting.

Proactive Monitoring and Maintenance:
  • Proactively monitor network performance and connectivity to all remote sites using SolarWinds.
  • Implement capacity planning and performance adjustments as needed.

Vulnerability Management:
  • Monitor the network landscape for potential vulnerabilities and server-related issues.

Call Center Technology:
  • Knowledge and support of call center technology.

Documentation and Standards:
  • Document and distribute operational standards.
  • Develop and maintain global network standards.
  • Keep network diagrams up-to-date as changes occur.

Disaster Recovery:
  • Test and document recovery procedures during annual network environment testing.

Infrastructure Responsibilities:
  • Responsible for data wiring and cabling for the entire network, including remote sites, communications closets, and the data center.
  • Support remote site connectivity via VPN, wireless, and other technologies
  • Assist remote users and vendors using client VPN software.
  • Ensure recommended firmware levels are up-to-date and supported on all network equipment.

Vendor Relationships:
  • Maintain positive relationships with third-party vendor sales and support staff to resolve operational issues.

Support and Scope of Responsibility:

Global Data Networks:

  • Responsible for overseeing and maintaining our global data networks.
  • Ensure seamless connectivity and efficient data transmission across all locations.

Monitoring and Control:

  • Monitor and manage our global data network hub.
  • Proactively identify and address any network issues or performance bottlenecks.

Global Monitoring and Design:

  • Continuously monitor the health and performance of the entire data network.
  • Contribute to network design enhancements and optimizations.

Position Requirements and Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in Information Technology.
  • Minimum 4-year College degree.
  • Working knowledge of current technologies for networking, voice, and cybersecurity.
  • Experience in manufacturing/retail businesses with an enhanced understanding of business processes is preferred
  • Experience in network component level certification in Palo Alto, Aruba, and Cisco is preferred

  • Complex Thinking: Recognizes the interrelationships between technical components and business requirements. Proficient in determining how to leverage technology to address complex business challenges.
