Coperion is looking for a Customer Account Manager to join our team to support the Midwest region. Candidate can be located in Ohio or other areas of the midwe As a Customer Account Manager for Coperion, you'll represent an industry leader in compounding and extrusion, feeding and weighting, and bulk material handling and service. Our customer service sales teams connect with companies around the world where our products help solve the most complex challenges facing manufacturers in a variety of industries including plastics, chemicals, foods and pharmaceuticals. We seek an experienced and apt technical communicator with a natural talent for quickly understanding customer requirements and translating them into intelligent solutions to provide technical support to our customer service sales personnel.

What You'll Do:
Assist customers with recommendations for parts using your extensive technical aptitude, familiarity with engineering principles and design guidelines, and the ability to understand complex mechanical and electrical systems.
Develop strong relationships with customers, exceeding their expectations for service and delivery.
Anticipate customer's needs for equipment damage- or wear-related problems and suggest parts and repairs.
Make decisions regarding required scope of refurbishment project, provide technical coordination with engineering and purchasing for spare parts orders, review field service reports and warranty issues, and manage our machinery database including equipment history and field activity.

Basic Qualifications:
Mechanical, industrial, chemical, electrical or equivalent engineering degree
3 to 5 years of related experience, preferably in the equipment/process systems business and /or customer service sale

Preferred Qualifications:
The ability to read and interpret documents such as engineering reports, drawings, office procedures, and instruction manuals.
Knowledge of chemical process industry (CPI) mechanical plant equipment and systems or related industry experience.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and familiarity with software such as QAD, SAP, Navision, and CRM applications.
Knowledge of Extrusion Technology or related capital equipment as well as Maintenance a plus.
