Job Description
Inventory Manager
Oversee the month-end close process for inventory-related accounts, ensuring that all transactions are properly recorded, reconciled, and reported in accordance with accounting principles. Manage inventory on multiple locations, inventory cycle counts, absorption, work with accounting, finance logistics, work with outside CPA firm with audits. Manage overhead rates. Manage and maintain the accuracy and completeness of inventory records, including reconciling inventory balances to physical counts, analyzing inventory trends, and identifying and resolving discrepancies. * Develop and implement inventory-related policies and procedures to ensure compliance with accounting principles, company policies, and regulatory requirements. * Prepare and review financial statements related to inventory, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements, ensuring accuracy and completeness of all information. * Work closely with cross-functional teams, including operations, merchandising, and logistics, to ensure that inventory is properly accounted for and valued in accordance with accounting principles. * Support the annual audit process by preparing schedules, responding to auditor inquiries, and ensuring that inventory-related accounts are properly classified and valued. * Identify opportunities for process improvements related to inventory accounting and reporting, and work with cross-functional teams to implement changes. Requirements: * Bachelor's degree with experience with inventory accounting and reporting. * Strong knowledge of accounting principles related to inventory, including cost accounting and inventory valuation. * Experience with inventory management software and systems
