Summary:

Provides oral and written translation/interpretation for service providers and recipients.

Shifts easily from technical to informal language skills.

Skilled at recognizing and accommodating dialectic differences in language.

Provides literal and anecdotal translation.

Maintains confidentialities.

Position Responsibilities:

* Assists team in implementing goals and objectives by offering accurate translation/interpreting services between service providers and recipients in a variety of settings.

* Translates written documents into language of family and/or legal guardian.

* Supports families by bridging communication with other outside service provider(s), medical professional, social service organizations, etc.

Position Qualifications Required / Experience Required:

One (1) year of professional translation/interpreting services in designated language with written and oral communication proficiency.

Knowledge of educational and medical terminology preferred. Demonstrates fluency in formal and dialectic nuances in designated language.

Required Education:

High school diploma or equivalent.

Training/Certifications/Licensure:

Formal training/certification preferred.

Valid driver's license may be required.
