A Brief Overview
The Behavior Specialist II is responsible for providing advanced direct care to children with severe emotional and behavioral challenges and needs. The Behavior Specialist II provides systematic instruction to children in order to develop their behavioral safety and compliance abilities, improve social and communication skills, identify and expression of feelings, and an increase on-task behavior. The Behavior Specialist II has and develops knowledge and expertise in the application of applied behavioral analysis and behavior modification techniques and demonstrates these skills in conducting their responsibilities. The Behavior Specialist II provides treatment room leadership in supporting the children to achieve their treatment goals. The Behavior Specialist II assists in the training and supervision of Behavior Specialists I and Behavior Assistants I and II.
