Job Description

The Sr. Director, Transformation will partner with key executive team members to define and act as leader across critical transformation initiatives. We seek a leader who is passionate about impact, value-creation, and brings the strategic and tactical skills to deliver change. It is essential that this leader also brings vision, leadership skills, and an ability to collaboratively influence teams and organizations at all levels. This role will report to the SVP, Transformation and work closely with the C-Suite and executives across Zelis to ensure success in the transformation.

Overall, the Sr. Director, Transformation objectives include:

  • Leadership of the key transformation workstreams working with executive initiative owners to ensure initiatives remain on track: proactively identifying all obstacles and risks, supporting initiative owners to overcome challenges, and ensuring initiatives are resourced appropriately in collaboration.

  • Project management of the entire change program including necessary tracking activities (e.g., dashboards, scheduling meetings) as well as coordinating the large number of stakeholders involved with the program (e.g., partners, relevant company executives, Bain Capital team members)

  • Quantifying value of initiatives and ensuring initiatives will deliver the expected value

  • Providing regular reporting to CEO and executive team on overall status of program

  • Coordinating and leading the the quarterly operating rhythm including executive meetings and quarterly Board update materials

  • At times, the role may need to take on temporary leadership (interim divisional or functional head) roles across 1-2 of the initiatives while the company recruits for the long-term owner

We expect this leader would be positioned to advance within Zelis into future roles created by the Company's accelerated growth and expansion.

The candidate must have the drive and ability to help develop strategic, analytical, and financial frameworks, to identify practical and meaningful business improvement opportunities, and to define and implement solutions. Key to his/her success will be the ability to manage complexity and ambiguity and transform into action across functional groups, driving value-creation. In addition, a successful Sr. Director, Transformation will be a "do-er" versus a "manager", who contributes daily to progress.

DESIRED BACKGROUND / EDUCATION:

  • Minimum of 5+ years of work experience including some time at a top strategy consulting firm

  • Operating experience in healthcare technology is a plus

  • MBA or equivalent degree a plus
