To assist the site EHS Manager in ensuring EHS compliance, building a strong safety culture, and in the process reducing injuries. To ensure that regulatory requirements for Safety, Security, Environment, and Workers' Compensation are met/ exceeded. To continually reduce risk and cost associated with behaviors and conditions of employees, contractors, and visitors of Aspire Bakeries.

Accountabilities:

  • Develop strong positive relationships with all levels of team members to help facilitate a strong safety team-based environment.
  • Provide accurate and consistent guidance to all team members at the facility, in accordance with all safety best practices, internal and external policies, and regulations.
  • Conduct regular safety audits, inspections, assessments, and observations to identify and evaluate hazards and behaviors in the workplace, and recommend solutions to minimize or eliminate risk.
  • Complete various safety reports and collect data to build metrics to identify trends and show improvements in safety-related initiatives.
  • Maintain safety communications boards and update safety monitor slides, as needed.
  • Maintain an inventory of safety supplies and order supplies as necessary.
  • Track and facilitate employee safety rewards.
  • Conduct, facilitate, & manage various safety training
  • Conduct new hire safety orientation for full-time and temporary employees.
  • Participate in accident investigations
  • Perform other duties as assigned or required.

Qualifications:

  • A high school diploma or GED is required
  • OSHA 30-hour certification is required
  • At least 1 year of experience in manufacturing/light industrial environment preferred
  • Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, & PowerPoint.
  • Ability to communicate (written and oral) in Spanish and English

Shift: 3rd(10:00 pm - 6:30 am)
