Basic Function (Purpose of Position):

As a Utility Operator you will provide support to the Basic Ingredients production area by grinding botanicals, packaging finished product, and cleaning work area/equipment.

In this role you will:

  • Follows established procedures to clean (manually or with equipment) various sized containers, vessels and utensils as well as the production floor and equipment.

  • Completes all sanitation and housekeeping duties as listed on the master sanitation schedule.

  • Works in compliance with Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP), Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) and internal safety guidelines.

  • Weighs and packages finished product in neat and accurate manner.

  • Operating Fork Truck and Hi-Lo.

  • Collects, empties and disposes of garbage.

  • Assist in Dispensing or other duties/responsibilities as required.

Your professional profile includes:

  • High School diploma or equivalent is required.

  • Minimum 2 years of related experience in a manufacturing environment required.

  • Able to read and write English.

  • Forklift license is preferred

  • Must understand computer screens applicable to cleaning and be able to work with automated systems.

  • Must be safety-oriented, flexible, customer-focused and willing to work overtime as needed.

  • Clear communication skills, team work skills and attention to detail are essential.

  • For Dispensing, must have knowledge of metric weight systems/conversions with ability to perform basic mathematical calculations is preferred.
