Job Description
This position works within the Team to ensure the timely completion of assigned projectswith a focus on Supermarket and/or Small Format Refrigeration. The candidate is responsible for maximizing customer satisfaction by managing all aspects of commercial refrigeration projects for new stores and store remodels. This is inclusive of subcontracting, scheduling, pre-/post-operation follow-ups, managing costs and time, safety, and both internal and external communications.

Description:
  • Perform building surveys of HVAC and refrigeration equipment/controls and operational costs;validatespreliminary information withcustomers.
  • Establish andmaintainrelationships with subcontractors; prepare requests for quotation including scope statements, plans, specs, and bondingrequirements.
  • Perform construction plan review or other requirements asdeterminedby project needs, constraints, and responsibilities to meet all customers' facilityrequirements.
  • Provideknowledge and consultation in the form of developing facility-related solutions to satisfy customers'needs and wants.
  • Determinesproject needs (must-haves), constraints, and responsibilities to meet entire building system design/installationrequirements.
  • Prepare,finalize and reviews preliminary and/or finalproposals.
  • Handle all aspects related to on-site field personnel management to ensure safety, quality, andtimelydelivery of a completed job within the prescribed budget.
  • Create detailed cost estimates consisting of controls, service agreements, materials, mechanical/electrical/other subcontractors,purchasedequipment, labor, and other construction-related activities toassistTeam managers in bidding on ordeterminingprojectpricing.
  • Utilize plans, specifications, and knowledge of controls/construction industry to analyze projectneeds.
  • Responsible for estimating and pricing of controls, materials, services and/or equipment to ensure accuracy of quantity, size, configuration, voltage, options, and othervariables.
  • Plan and analyze assigned projects, develop schedules/projectparametersand set procedures toaccomplishprojectobjectives as set forth by the customer.
  • Identifycost-saving opportunities and/or risk factors on variousprojects.
  • Clarify, reconcile and adjust information gaps and scope deviations with Operations Team; resolve major deviations with team after Project Scopehas been validated.
  • Maintain quote logs consisting of closed, open, and lostorders.
  • Identify risks to projects and be prepared to mitigate the risks as necessary.
  • Carries outadditionalresponsibilities asassigned.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree or 5 years of experience in HVAC/R Project Management and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Minimumof5 years of experience.
  • Working knowledge of basic refrigeration and knowledge of commercial refrigeration and HVAC systems.
  • Strong leadership skills and business acumen; ability to manage small and large crews of construction professionals.
  • Working knowledge of applicable construction/safety federal, state, and county codes and regulations.
  • Ability tomaintainthe highestlevels of customer service.
  • The ability to establish, build and maintain business relationships.
  • Ability to successfully manage multiple and competing priorities and/or tasks in a fast-paced work environment.
  • Outstanding verbal and written communication skills.
  • Organizational and time management skills.
  • Intermediate-to-advancedproficiencyin Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Must be able to work outside of regular business hours when necessary.
  • Valid driver's license and safe driving record.
  • Travel within region asrequired.
The salary or hourly wage range of $53,900 - $100,100 is just one component of Hussmann's total package. Actual compensation varies depending on the individual's knowledge, skills, experience, and location. This role may be eligible for discretionary bonuses and incentives. *The minimum hourly wage for this role will be the greater of the posted range, or minimum wage for the location where the employee will be working, subject to local minimum wage requirements.
