What you'll do:
  • Driving the processing of weekly and bi-weekly payrolls per established company procedures with payroll team members
  • Prepare and submit all necessary files to Payroll provider for special earnings, deductions, benefits, and imputed income transactions.
  • Ability to process incentive payments correctly using FLSA look back periods.
  • Oversee payroll adjustment transactions as required to include year-end adjustments to produce W2c's.
  • Assist in legal, tax and internal audit requirements with preparation of required documentation.
  • Analyze compensation and tax related data to troubleshoot and respond to payroll issues and required adjustments.
  • Manage payroll banking and escheatment documentation.
  • Prepare reports and forecasts for senior management and others in the organization as requested.
  • Assist senior management team with projects as needed, including streamlining and automation of processes.
You should apply if you bring:
  • Proven 5 to 7 plus years of experience as a Payroll Analyst in a multi-state setting, or similar role.
  • Experience with an outsourced managed payroll service a plus.
  • Hands-on experience with Payroll and HR software (UKG and Workday experience a plus).
  • Working knowledge of California employment requirement including Regular rate of Pay Calculations
  • Canadian payroll processing a plus
  • Union Experience a plus
  • Working knowledge of federal and state payroll and tax regulations
  • Strong Excel and database reporting skills required.
  • Excellent communication and analytical skills with the ability to translate analytical findings into actionable solutions.
  • Ability to work accurately and efficiently under tight deadlines.
  • Ability to work independently and collaborate as part of a team.
  • Strong organizational skill and attention to details
