Overview

The Sr Financial Analyst position is a finance, accounting, and sales support role within the Dealer channel. The purpose of the position is to provide business and financial analysis and support to the Dealer channel, Marketing department, and various internal customers. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, business and financial reporting, month end close, channel commissions, creation and electronic distribution of financial reports and analytics. This position will interact with field personnel, sales leadership, various internal departments, and executive leadership. The Sr Financial Analyst position reports to the Manager of Financial Planning & Analysis - Dealer.


Responsibilities

* Accounting for and analysis of channel-related balance sheet accounts and expense allocations. Includes preparation of journal entries and reconciliation schedules.
* Create and distribute various monthly dealer-by-dealer reports (i.e. M&A and P&S) including Forecast vs Actual, year over year, trends, and stack rankings etc.
* Calculation, filing and reporting of monthly/quarterly/annual sales commission for channel sales managers, VPs, and field sales personnel. Provide necessary support.
* Liaise with various internal departments including accounting, marketing, sales admin for financial information and problem resolution.
* Working closely with the Manager of FP&A, continuously examine and reengineer processes using information technology tools for improving and automating forecasting and actual reporting.
* Assist in the co-ordination of the month end financial closing process to ensure all deadlines are met and information is presented accurately in accordance with GAAP to external auditors.
* Respond to various field inquiries as necessary
* Ad Hoc Analysis and reporting
* Other duties/responsibilities as assigned.


Qualifications

* Bachelor's Degree in finance or accounting
* 5+ years of related work experience
* Strong analytical, communication, and organizational skills are required.
* Proven ability to effectively communicate financial data
* SAP ERP system experience a plus (SAP Business Warehouse and/or Business Objects a plus)

* Understanding of Accounting & Finance principles, along with metrics
* Proficient in MS Excel including advanced functionality
* Word, PowerPoint, and Access capability is helpful
* Self-starter with ability to investigate and solve problems independently and meet deadlines
* Ability to collaborate with others and use judgment to produce results and conclusions
* Ability to manage multiple priorities and adhere to deadlines while maintaining accuracy
* Excellent communication and customer service skills
* Superior work ethic and energy level
