Posting Summary | Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey is seeking a Research Associate I within the Rutgers Cancer Institute of New Jersey. The primary purpose of the Research Associate I position is to work under the direction of the faculty member, with the responsibility of independently conducting significant elements of a larger research activity. Designs and conducts highly specialized and technical research. The employee will conduct breast and cervical cancer research to analyze experiments relative to the understanding of oncogenic signaling and response to cancer therapies. The Montagna Lab at Rutgers Cancer Institute leverages a number of experimental approaches including single cell genomics by next generation sequencing, in situ single cell analyses of DNA and RNA, and CRISPR gene editing to induce genomic instability and study its consequences on tumor initiation, progression and therapy response. The Research Associate I will be part of a highly translational laboratory that seeks to identify underlying mechanisms of tumorigenesis and translate these findings into improved personalized therapeutic strategies for the treatment of breast and cervical cancer. May guide and train interns, graduate students, and postdoctoral fellows. Among the key duties for this position are the following:
