About the Role

As aSenior Manager, West Coast Salesat Reuters,you will:

  • Develop, execute and manage account plans for a defined sales territory and roster of clients to drive revenue and ensure retention.
  • Maintain strong relationships within client organizations at the decision-maker and execution levels; present a consistent Reuters image of professionalism, timeliness and accountability to those clients; build high levels of client satisfaction; execute and deliver proper client agreements (contracts).
  • Achieve assigned sales and retention objectives. Strong emphasis on ability to forecast pipeline with confidence and predictability.
  • Coordinate internal support groups throughout Reuters to offer the best service and expertise available within the organization. This includes junior members of the team and product and editorial expertise from other divisions of the organization.
  • Ensure appropriate customer satisfaction levels for assigned clients and agency, including development of relevant and targeted advertising campaigns, campaign management and stewardship, proactive account maintenance, campaign post-analysis, timely billing and invoicing with assistance from Digital Sales Planner.
  • Maintain accurate and updated account summaries and meeting reports with an emphasis to drive in person meetings.
  • Compile detailed and accurate sales forecasts for presentation to Sales Management inclusive of both programmatic and direct placed business.
  • Passionate, engaged, committed and true relationship builder and an established network.
  • Ability to present articulately and passionately about Reuters offerings and special assets.

About the Role

To be ourSenior Manager, West Coast Sales, you will likely:

  • Ideal candidate possesses 10+ years of media sales experience for a first-tier digital media brand. Financial, Tech and B2B category experience desired with preferred location in the San Francisco Bay area.
  • Knowledge of the online media business and underlying technology, and research as well as and 1P data application and insights.
  • Strong account planning and management skills.
  • Strong negotiation skills.
  • Looking for a strong consultative seller who has the ability to create and build relationships. Demonstrated track record of success within the West Coast and established relationships with large strategic partnerships inclusive of custom content sales.
  • Excellent listening, negotiation and presentation skills to all levels of an organization.
  • Good organizational and time management skills, a self-starter motivated to exceed sales goals.
  • Ability to coordinate resources and relationships outside of direct line of responsibility.
  • Minimum BS/BA or equivalent work experience, MBA a plus.

Thomson Reuters complies with local laws that require upfront disclosure of the expected pay range for a position. The location(s) for this role include one or more of the following metro locations: Los Angeles, New York City, San Francisco, Washington, DC. The target total cash compensation range for the role in any of those locations is $200,200 - $371,800. The location(s) for this role include one or more of the following states: CA, CO, CT, IL, NV, TX, WA and/or remote. The target total cash compensation range for the role in any of those locations is $182,000 - $338,000. The target total cash compensation range in other locations may vary. This is inclusive of both base pay and any target sales incentive. Pay is positioned within the range based on several factors including an individual's knowledge, skills and experience with consideration given to internal equity. Base pay and any target sales incentive are part of a comprehensive Total Reward program which also includes flexible and supportive benefits and other wellbeing programs.
