The Lawrenceville School announces an opening for a part-time French teacher for the 2024-2025 school year. We are seeking an enthusiastic, energetic, collegial individual who wants to work with other highly motivated faculty and students in a collaborative, diverse, and inclusive boarding school environment. The Lawrenceville Language Department supports students as they become citizens of the global community: Our curriculum is designed to develop capacities to understand other cultures and peoples through the beauty and power of their languages.

Teach two sections of French language, including preparing lessons and instruction, doing regular assessments and providing feedback, and writing midterm and end-of-term reports for all students.
• Attend Language Department and French language team meetings.

• BA in French, second language education, or related field.
• Three years' experience teaching French is preferred.
• Native or near-native fluency in French.
• Experience with the effective use of technology in the learning process, including language labs.
• Experience planning and facilitating collaborative, student-centered classes.
• Passion for teaching French language and culture.
• Strong interpersonal, organizational, and communication (oral and written) abilities.
• Ability to work collaboratively and independently, as needed and appropriate.
• Proficient computer skills, including familiarity with Google suite and Microsoft Office suite.
