Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities:

    Establishing and implementing processes to minimize or eliminate manual installs and consolidate licensed software under single package.
  • Creating, validating, deploying, and rolling back enabled packages for COTS and custom applications within the enterprise environment.
  • Developing and executing effective approach to piloting, testing, and deployment to minimize work disruptions.
  • Maintaining a list of all software that is not packaged and requires manual install/uninstall.
  • Maintaining an inventory of packages, conducting periodic review of packages to confirm relevance, and updating packages to work with new operating systems and desktop environments.
  • Maintaining enterprise tool sets for packaging, including testing, and enterprise distribution tools in the lab environment, delivering the appropriate, clean, and imaged virtual server and desktop operating systems to meet required packaging requirements.

  • Installing and removing software including COTS applications, updates/patches and configurations installed to desktops and servers.
  • Implementing software which can detect possible conflicts between various image sets, suites of software, and
  • Providing recommendations for software packaging for other operating systems (such as MAC OS).
  • Generating monthly software distribution conflict and packaging report based on requirements established by the government or consistent with SLA requirements.
  • Providing customer audit reports and creating monthly Packaging Report on software distribution based on government requirements and Service Level Agreement (SLA) requirements.
  • Creating software packaging documentation for each package.
  • Ensuring only approved software is installed on end point devices and servers.

Qualifications

Basic Qualification:

  • U.S. Citizen; eligible for U.S. Secret Security Clearance.
  • 10 - 11 years of experience conducting software distribution within a Windows 10 or later, Windows Server 2012 or later, Linux RedHat version 6 or later, and Mac OS environment.
  • Experience using Flexera (Conflict Checker) to detect conflicts between various image sets, suites of software, and individual releases and updates.
  • Experience providing software distribution within a Active Directive and cloud environment.
  • Ability to install and remove software including COTS applications, updates/patches and configurations installed to desktops and servers.
  • Experience within a DevOps software and application development.
  • Experience with Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager (SCCM) for Windows-based endpoint devices.
  • Experience implementing or supporting SLAs (Ticket Open, Customer Satisfaction, and Root Cause Analysis (RCA).
  • Working knowledge of MS-Office products for Windows including Word, Excel, Visio and SharePoint.

Preferred Qualification:

  • Active Secret Security Clearance.
  • ITIL V4 Foundation Certified
  • Experience with Conflict Checker within Flexera

Target Salary Range
$80,000 - $128,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
