opportunity with VA Clinic in Southwest Tucson, AZ.
Top Skills You Should Possess:
- Candidate must have successfully completed a two-year accredited course study leading to an associate degree in respiratory therapy.
- Candidates must possess AHA BLS certification and RRT (Registered Respiratory Therapy) licensure.
- Safely and accurately initiates mechanical ventilation and makes suggestions on advanced modes of therapy.
- Manages non-invasive ventilation.
- Performs advanced airway management.
- Recognizes the need for emergency measures in the most critically ill patient and performs accordingly as part of the CODE BLUE and RRT teams.
- Demonstrates competency in artificial airway management.
- Delivers inhaled medications using proper technique, medication dosage and delivery and monitor the patient for potential side effects, assuring the ongoing safety of the patient receiving respiratory care.
- Correctly enters event capture and encounter data within the required timeframes.
- Will perform outpatient duties as assigned.
- Clinic hours are 8:00a - 4:30p Monday - Friday
- Must possess AHA BLS certification and RRT (Registered Respiratory Therapy) licensure.
- Ability to perform therapeutic modalities related to respiratory care.
