Roles and Responsibilities
  • Support field activities and project administration for the company's vertical concrete construction projects throughout the U.S.
  • Support the Project Manager on the management of costs and schedules.
  • Submit and approve monthly billing and earned value reports.
  • Manage the development of critical path project schedule documents.
  • Analyze targets and goals, job cost summaries, and other reports.
  • Work with the Superintendent and Project Manager with regard to project resources.
  • Support the Project Manager by reviewing and negotiating change orders and tracking status.
  • Manage and advise on the procurement process.
  • Approve field purchase orders for standard purchase packages.
  • Analyze project financial performance and participate in the project financial reviews.
  • Support project engineering and quality by overseeing the generation and tracking of technical records such as constructability reports, RFI's, inspection records, work packages, and deviation reports.
  • Oversee the submittal process on each project.
  • Responsible for the completion of as-built records.
  • Responsible for work package closure, punch lists, and project turnover process.
  • Support project safety and risk management by promoting and supporting LEAN/SQP committee and overseeing implementation of improvement opportunities.
  • Oversee compliance by subcontractors with terms of subcontracts and will obtain approval on impact notices as needed.
  • Manage issues related to compliance (company and subcontractors) with prevailing wage, workforce utilization, MBE/SBE participation, etc.
  • Manage issues related to establishing clinics, managing first report of injuries, and co-worker case management.
    Provide guidance to colleagues to maximize individual and overall department performance.
  • Generate Building Information Model in a manner that can be used for project management, project coordination, field engineering, client and subcontractor communication.
  • Provide 3D view of the structure, logistics, conflicts, etc.
    Generate construction documents from 3D Model.
  • Conduct regular quality control check for the BIM model to ensure accuracy.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or Architectural Engineering.
  • 2 years of experience in preparing project specifications for vertical concrete construction projects with Procore software, Primavera P6 software, and 3D modeling.
