Teknion and Studio TK occupy 17 manufacturing locations combining 2.4 million square feet of total manufacturing space.

Studio TK is a growing business and is at a point in its journey where we are seeking to drive incremental efficiency within our operations and uncover, quantify, and execute strategic growth initiatives. We are seeking a Manager of Business Analysis who will be a critical resource pertaining to the growth and advancement of the Studio TK business. The role will work across all teams at Studio TK, and will support members of the leadership team, with close connection to the President of the business. The right individual will be essential in supporting the development of robust business plans, sales projections, strong key performance indicators of the business and driving strategic decisions through well thought out, multi input business models. The Manager will interact regularly with operational partners across the organization as well as key business partners in other parts of the broader Teknion enterprise. This role is a perfect opportunity to be an impact player. We are seeking someone who can leverage relationships, learnings through dialogue and data to inform sound business decisions, and to model assumptions where data is not readily available. The right candidate will have a strong analytical background with tangible experience driving change and leveraging that expertise to influence and drive commercial growth and operational excellence. It is important that the incumbent be comfortable with ambiguity, can make assumptions when modeling, and gravitates toward packaging recommendations in context to business outcomes.

GENERAL ACCOUNTABILITIES

The incumbent is responsible for leading the charge at Studio TK when it comes to leveraging their background in business analysis, coupled with information and reporting at their disposal to architect and drive a strong decision support model which is rooted in business insights, data and innate internal understanding at Studio TK. The role spans the entirety of the business from Operations, to Marketing, Product Development and Sales, partnering with key leaders in each area to develop strategies that are grounded delivering great business outcomes. This role is highly visible with key connection points with the entire leadership team at Studio TK and key business partners at Teknion.

SPECIFIC ACCOUNTABILITIES

  1. General
    1. Ensure strong understanding of periodic results and key drivers from a business perspective
    2. Day to day decision support providing analytical insights related to the entirety of the business
    3. Support our ability to make the right business decisions by bringing key insights to the table regarding the future outlook of the business on a period basis
    4. Support the annual budget creation process in partnership with the Teknion finance team
    5. Leverage existing reporting and merging with understanding of sales funnel to consistently deliver new sales projections
    6. Track and manage investments to ensure proper gating in context to growth
    7. Leverage understanding of demand to lead demand planning process with the operations team
  2. Revenue Generation (Sales)
    1. Partner with the Studio TK sales team to consistently provide a refreshed outlook for the business
    2. Partner with the Studio TK sales team to quantify growth opportunities within existing and new channels.
    3. Analyze trends regarding category and product performance and providing insights which will allow us to hone in on key insights to inform future distribution decisions
    4. Periodically analyze incentive and discounting programs and provide recommendations which will allow these programs to enable growth.
  3. New Product Introductions
    1. Support pricing activities by partnering with cross functional teams at Studio TK to understand market dynamics and competitor products to create the right pricing architecture
    2. Partner with the operations and product development groups to ensure healthy and achievable gross margins are established at launch
    3. Lead the tracking of reporting on new product launches for a 2 year cycle to ensure performance metrics around volume and profitability are being achieved
  4. Strategic Planning
    1. Support the development of a three year strategic roadmap by:
      • Gathering key information from markets and internal stakeholders as well as outside sources regarding competitive analysis, category trends, growth opportunities, channel penetration and package into meaningful insights that can serve as a catalyst for new strategies
      • Partner with the President and other leaders at Studio TK to map out the growth of the business both commercially and operationally
      • Own the process of working with each functional owner to understand core strategies and focus areas and build KPI's that will drive accountability
  5. Marketing
    1. Partner with the Marketing team to establish and track success and ROI metrics regarding marketing investments
  6. Operations
    1. Partner with manufacturing leadership to establish a material cost reduction (value engineering or other) program which will yield annualized margin improvements. The incumbent will recommend and own the calculating and tracking of gross margin improvement initiatives and will leverage connections with sales to focus on high demand/volume categories
    2. Partner with supply chain team to assess new suppliers and model impact of supplier changes to business outcomes
    3. Leverage cross business connectivity to support demand planning and subsequently capacity planning efforts

QUALIFICATIONS / EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS

University degree in any business field

Total 6 years of experience providing analytical support across the full value chain

Strong understanding of ERP systems

Expert knowledge of Microsoft tools, specifically Excel

Proficient in taking insights and presenting them as actionable outcomes

Working knowledge SQL coding or scripting preferred

Highly analytical and ability to translate analysis to business recommendations

Demonstrated ability to manage projects

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Proficiency in planning and organizing capability

Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

Excellent time management skills and the ability to handle several tasks simultaneously

Ability to travel locally and internationally
